How Commissions Work
A commissioned painting starts with a conversation. Tell me about the vision you have, the feeling you want the piece to project, or a memory you'd like to preserve. My work is autobiographical — and commissions are a chance to make that story yours.
- We talk. You share your vision — a feeling, a place, a memory. I listen.
- Studies & sketches. I create preliminary color studies for your feedback.
- The painting. The work begins. I share progress photos along the way.
- Delivery. Professional packaging and shipping, or local delivery in Metro Detroit.
Pricing
Commissions range from $600 to $7,250+ depending on size, surface, urgency and shipping. Commissions are usually 20% more than my personal artwork pricing. Shipping is additional. 50% deposit to begin; balance due on completion.
My work is priced by size on a consistent scale — the same painting size is always the same price. Rates reflect thirty years of full-time practice and more than seventy exhibitions, and they adjust occasionally, always upward.
Mediums and Surfaces
Options: Oil or Acrylic on either stretched canvas, Artefex Panel, or cradled birch panel.
Framing
Options: Thin or Bold Floater Frame in White, Black, Natural or Walnut.
